   ~~~ CPC IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING A NEW CLERK ~~~    14 February, 2018

The current Clerk is retiring at the end of August 2018, but will continue as part-time Deputy Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.


The Council is looking for a replacement and hopes that the new Clerk can work alongside Sue, full time, for at least two months.  After that hand-over time Sue will support the new Clerk, providing cover, helping with specific projects and continuing to administer the Council's finances.


The essential requirements for the new Clerk are that they are an efficient administrator, with IT and communication skills.  The position is full time, a 37-hour week and with an average 3 hours each month for evening meetings.  The salary will be flexible within the NALC LC2 range, the spinal point will be according to experience and qualification.

Timings are flexible but interviews are planned to take place the week commencing Monday 02 April 2018 and the Council hopes to have a new Clerk in post by the 01 June 2018.
