Join us for special engagement sessions hosted by the Leader of Waverley Borough Council, Cllr Paul Follows, together with local ward councillors. Taking place from 7pm on these dates at the respective venues:
- Haslemere: Monday 14 July, The Lecture Hall, Haslemere Museum.
- Farnham: Wednesday 16 July, The Redgrave Suite, The Bush Hotel.
- Godalming: Tuesday 22 July, The Caudle Hall, Wilfrid Noyce Centre.
- Cranleigh: Tuesday 29 July, Cranleigh Methodist Church.
These sessions will explain what Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) is, outline the different options being considered, and show you how to get involved.
You’ll also have the chance to ask questions about what these changes could mean for you, your family, and your community.
Right now, the government is running a consultation on the future of local government in Surrey, open until 5 August. Two options are being considered: reorganising Surrey into either three or two unitary authorities. While this isn’t a traditional public consultation, it’s the only opportunity residents, community groups, and stakeholders will get to share their views with the government. We’ll walk you through how to do just that.
