The Parish Council have granted initial permission for a mobile pizza van to trade 4 hours a week from the car park at Coxcombe Recreation Ground.
Earlier this year Mamma Lourdes Pizza applied to Waverley licensing for a license to trade from The Green. This application was withdrawn following concerns from Surrey Highways about the location. During the consultation period for the application a number of comments were made that indicated support for the van, but not in that location. The Parish Council were subsequently approached and asked for permission to trade from the car park at Coxcombe Recreation Ground.
At the July meeting of the Parish Council permission was granted for Mamma Lourdes Pizza to trade from the furthest end of the car park at Coxcombe Lane Recreation Ground (furthest from the entrance) for period of 4 hours a week between 4pm and 8pm on Wednesday evenings, for a period of up to 12 months, subject to the Waverley Borough Council granting a street trading License. The Parish Council reserves the right to withdraw this consent for breach of the trading license conditions or for any other reason.
Waverley Borough Council have received an application for a mobile pizza van to operate from Coxcombe Lane Recreation Ground between 4pm – 8pm. The application is for Wednesday evenings.
Before deciding the request there is an opportunity for residents to comment. Please note that there are standard conditions that are attached to such applications that deal with, among other matters, rubbish, bins, nuisance and food hygiene – these conditions can be found in the WBC 2021 Street Trading Policy.
