The Surrey County Council Combe Lane (D153) Wormley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Combe Lane (D153) Wormley from its junction with (X93025) Station Approach and (C31) New Road to its junction with (X11187) Access to Coopers Place Business Park. Alternative Route – New Road; A283 Petworth Road; Woodside Road; Coxcombe Lane; Ridgley Road; and Combe Lane or this same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow mains water replacement works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Morrison Utility Services and/or Thames Water within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks between the hours of 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday; 8am and 5pm Saturday; and 9am and 1pm Sunday within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 20 June 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
